WHAT'S TREND IN BROOKLYN
The inaugural print issue of (the)MAGAZINE is dedicated to Fashion Week Brooklyn 2023 S2. It features a summary of the October runway shows held at Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Labo and main Location Cope NYC.
This issue shows the results of the designers’ and brands’ attempts to be sustainable and care for the environment. New eco-friendly products and reused and recycled materials are just a few examples of how people and companies are helping the environment and cutting down on their carbon footprint and serves as a reminder that small changes can lead to significant progress in preserving our environment for future generations.
To get a better understanding on how each designer/brand operates, our editors asked each designer three questions:
1. How can consumers contribute to creating a more sustainable fashion brand/environment?
2. What makes your brand more sustainable and eco-friendlier?
3. What is the biggest challenge when creating sustainable fashion?
The majority of the designers’ responses were diverse and insightful. Many highlighted the need for consumers to support brands that prioritize ethical sourcing and the use of eco-friendly materials, which is still one of the biggest challenges. You can read the articles in the print or E-mag publication, available here.
